1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar using a hand or standing mixer. This will take about 3-5 minutes. You want it to be nice and fluffy and you don't want to skimp on this step!
3. Add in cream cheese, vanilla and milk and mix to fully incorporate.
4. Whisk together flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda to combine. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet (I add about 1/3 of the mixture at a time) and mix to combine. Don't overmix, just mix to incorporate the ingredients.

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line two cookie sheets with non-stick silicone baking mats (I highly recommend for best results) or lightly spray cookie sheets with cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt and stir to blend.
3. In another bowl, whisk the sugars, butter, egg white, applesauce and vanilla together until light and fluffy.
4. Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients in two additions until the batter is very well blended. If the batter looks more “crumbly” than smooth, add just a drop of water at a time (ONLY if needed) until it smooths out.
