1. In a bowl mix masa harina with salt. Slowly pour water mixing the dough until everything is well incorporated.
2. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes. The masa harina will soak most of the water.
3. With the help of your hands knead dough for around 5 minutes or until soft.
4. The dough should be easy to work with and not sticky if it’s sticking to your hands add more masa harina if it’s too crumbly add more water and let it rest again.

4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and add cooking spray. Add the arepas and cook, moving them around the pan, rotating them occasionally, about 3 minutes on each side, until a crust forms or they are golden brown. Serve hot with melted butter.
