If you're a coffee lover like myself, there is nothing like a cup of hot coffee with frothy milk on top. The problem with milk is that it's relatively high in carbs and should be avoided if you follow a keto diet. I previously attempted making cappuccino with dairy-free options like almond, hazelnut and cashew but it wasn't quite right.
Energize and caffeinate with a coffee shop favorite that is low in carbs. Brew the coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. Fill two glasses up with ice. Pour the coffee evenly into the two glasses. Add half of the whipping cream to each of the glasses. Place 1-2 tablespoon of the flavored syrup of your choosing into each glass.
I like to use 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) of mix per 1 1/2 cups (12 ounces) of liquid, but adjust according to the strength you prefer. MY FAVE: For the liquid, I like to use 1 1/4 cups unsweetened almond milk and 1/4 cup half and half for optimum creaminess. This cappuccino needs a little fat for creaminess in my opinion.
