I kept it in the refrigerator overnight. The basic brine recipe is 4 cups of water + 2 tablespoons of salt + 1/4 cup Lakanto golden (or brown sugar or other sweetener) + 1 tablespoon crushed garlic. You might have to double or even triple this recipe depending on what type of container you put your turkey in to brine.
The use of sugar or maple syrup gives a sweet yet salty taste to the turkey, which is enjoyable but adds sugar to the turkey. This brine doesn’t call for any kind of sugar or sweetener.
But brining, brining is the answer to moist delicious turkey breast every time. All you need is a large container and enough space in your refrigerator for that container to fit.
This depends on the size of turkey, and how much salt you add to the brine. The general rule is 1 cup of salt for each gallon of water. Then brine the turkey overnight. However, I find if you add a bit more water you can brine the turkey longer for a better overall bird.
