Yellow Plum Chutney. Smooth and spicy, similar to a good mango chutney. Put plums into a pan, bring to boil then lower heat to simmer for about 15 minutes until lots of juice appears. Add onion and ginger to the plums and simmer for another 15 minutes. Blitz with a hand blender or in a liquidiser then push through a sieve and return to a clean pan.
Stir salt, ginger, chili powder, cloves, and cinnamon into the mixture. Cook over low heat until desired consistency is reached, stirring often to prevent chutney from sticking, about 15 minutes.
