Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix is as the name says, a WAFFLE mix, not a pancake mix. Can you substitute milk for water in Krusteaz waffle mix? Even though the mix may call for water, you can easily substitute that for an alternative milk (I like oat milk).
In a large bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, cold water, egg, and vegetable oil until combined. Lumps are fine. Pour 1/3 to 1/2 of batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Cook until golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat until all batter is cooked.
