Coconut Oil – A little coconut oil is added to keep the treats intact and crispy. You can also use butter. How do you make keto rice crispy treats? Start by adding the peanut butter, syrup, and coconut oil in microwave safe bowl or small saucepan. Heat up until the coconut oil and melted and the peanut butter is warm.
To make this a sugar free peanut butter rice krispie treat recipe, you will need to make a bit of a change in your ingredients. For the butter sub in add a quarter of a cup of peanut butter to the recipe plus 1 tablespoon of butter. You can find sugar free peanut butter here or use my recipe for sugar free peanut butter to make your own.
However, Rice Krispie Cereal is also available in Gluten Free (1 gram of sugar) which you can find online. This recipe can also be made keto or low in carbohydrates. Simply use a crispy keto low carb cereal that is similar to krispies. Prepping you pan well can be important in this recipe.
