1. In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream butter with sugars. Mix in eggs and vanilla, followed by salt, baking powder, baking soda and flour. Mix well until ingredients are fully incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips by hand. Cover and chill overnight.
2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Using a medium scoop, place cookie scoops at least 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet. Press additional chocolate chips into tops of cookie dough balls if desired.
3. Bake for 10-11 minutes. Allow cookies to rest on baking sheet for 2 minutes prior to transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Repeat process with remaining dough.
4. Store cookies in an airtight container.
