In a mixing bowl, whisk together almond flour, coconut flour, baking soda, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and keto sweetener. Add in egg and heavy cream to the flour mix. Do not overmix the batter, you want a cornbread texture. Place hush puppy batter in the fridge for 30 minutes.
For lower a lower carb Hush Puppy, you can use Almond Flour or Flaxseed Meal. Baking Soda- ½ teaspoon. Salt and seasonings to taste. Onion- 1 small chopped. Eggs- 2 lightly beaten. Buttermilk or similar dairy- ½ cup. .
In a small bowl, stir together the buttermilk and egg. Pour the buttermilk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until blended. Drop the batter one teaspoon at a time into the oil. Dip the spoon in a glass of water after each hush puppy is dropped in the oil. Fry until golden brown, turning the hush puppies during the cooking process.
