Each cookie here is rolled and cut by hand and come in five flavors including Ginger, Sugar, Lemon, Chocolate, Butterscotch, and Black Walnut. Mrs. Hanes isn't just a simple little place making Moravian cookies, it's the largest hand-made cookie company in the world.
Not only are our cookies made in North Carolina, we are made by hand in North Carolina. Come before 2:30 PM M-F to watch our cookies being made at our special viewing window and enjoy tasty samples of our 6 different flavors. Tours are given but you must call to scheduled in advance.
The Ginger cookies stand up to a 2-3 sec dip in coffee or cocoa and then totally dissolve in your mother. The lemon cookies are my second favorite. Mrs. Ida Hanes still works at her factory assisting with the production of here famous cookies. All cookies are handmade and you can watch them working through the glass.
