A low carb version of a baking mix based pizza crust. Carbquick Baking Mix - 1 ½ cups. Hot Tap Water- start with ¼ cup. Olive Oil- 1 tablespoon. Optional- seasonings such as salt as needed for taste. Preheat your oven to 450 and prep a pan for nonstick.
The base for this crust is Carbquik. Some folks do not like using Carbquik, but we have successfully used it in our low carb diet for over a year and find this mix is a wonderful way to keep us on track. I have not tried alternatives to using this mix for this recipe.
The texture of the outside crust is crispy thanks to the coconut flour and the inside of the crust is chewy thanks to the psyllium husk powder. It can be made crispy or chewy and is extremely filling! You can make two small personal pizzas or one large keto pizza. Is the Thin Crust Pizza Lower in Carbs? No, it’s not.
