Halloumi Cheese is low carb and can be enjoyed in a number of easy keto recipes, like this mouth watering salad. If you’re new to Halloumi Cheese, then you’re in for a treat.
Heat the butter or coconut oil in a frying pan. Meanwhile, slice the halloumi cheese into bite sized pieces. When the frying pan is hot, cook the halloumi, tossing until cooked on all sides. Place the spinach onto a plate, top with the cooked halloumi and add avocado, chopped into bite sized pieces. Heat the butter or coconut oil in a frying pan.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the halloumi mixture. Fry for 5 to 7 minutes, until the cheese, has some color. In a large separate dry skillet, toast the cumin seeds until they begin to release their aroma (see tip). Add the rest of the ghee and the spinach.
Slice the halloumi into 1 cm ( 1/2 inch) sticks (ideally cut into 8 or into 12 pieces to get 2 or 3 fries per serving). Dry on kitchen paper. Mix the paprika or zatar, coconut flour and seasoning in a bowl. Coat the halloumi sticks in the grain free flour mix. Crack open the egg in a bowl and whisk with a fork.
