Just place your ribs in a 6 quart slow cooker, mix up your sauce ingredients (full printable recipe below) and pour on top. Cook for 6-8 hours on low or until they are super tender. Then throw your ribs on a lined cookie sheet and broil for a few minutes or carefully grill.
If you want to try this in the oven, rub the short ribs with the bbq seasoning and place in a baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours in a 300 °F oven. Take off the foil for the last 1/2 hour. I’ve made a low carb bbq sauce for lots of my recipes.
This BBQ mop sauce will keep your pork ribs tender and flavorful, even after hours on your charcoal smoker. Made with apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes, this sauce is the key to locking in sweet and spicy flavors. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to meld. While the ribs are in the oven, make the mop. In a small bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, reserved dry rub and liquid smoke (if using). Once the ribs have baked for 2 ½ hours, remove them from the oven and brush with mop.
