The return of a classic… Leaf Brands has brought back the iconic – and original – chocolate creme filled sandwich cookie – Hydrox. Already available in grocery stores, and now also available through Creative Food Ingredients for industrial and foodservice applications.
Hydrox was largely discontinued in 1999, three years after Sunshine was acquired by Keebler, which was later acquired by Kellogg's. In September 2015, the product was reintroduced by Leaf Brands. The similar Oreo cookie, introduced in 1912, is an imitation of the original Hydrox.
