Keebler made Magic Middles cookies for several years before discontinuing them. The shortbread cookies were filled with fudge—and you know how good Keebler's fudge is—or peanut butter. They were discontinued when Keebler bought up the maker, Sunshine. These peanut-shaped cookies with peanut butter creme inside were a peanut butter lovers' dream. Despite their popularity, the cookies, which launched in 1992, were gone from store shelves by 1995.
Keebler had marketed its brands such as Cheez-It (which have the Sunshine Biscuits brand), Chips Deluxe, Club Crackers, E.L. Fudge Cookies, Famous Amos, Fudge Shoppe Cookies, Murray cookies, Austin, Plantation, Vienna Fingers, Town House Crackers, Wheatables, Sandie's Shortbread, Pizzarias Pizza Chips, Chachos and Zesta Crackers, among others.
It celebrated by baking up a 150-pound cookie — the largest Keebler cookie ever made — at its headquarters in Elmhurst, Illinois, according to Mental Floss. How else would you expect employees to celebrate? You can't think of Keebler without thinking of that magic, hollow tree.
