Czech bread dumplings are kneaded out of flour, egg, yeast (fresh or instant), salt, and bread cubes, shaped in a cylinder roll, then boiled or steamed. Fold in bread cubes. Form into a rough cylinder. Allow mixture to sit for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully drop dumpling into boiling water. Boil covered for 15 minutes. Uncover, and boil an additional 10 minutes.
Slowly add the Keto Bread Dumpling Loaf, cover the lid and let it cook or steamed for 20 minutes. Once the Keto Bread Dumpling Loaf is steamed, gently take it out of the steamer and using a thread or twine, cut it into the bread-like slices.
These Czech dumplings use dry active yeast for the recipe. I have not tested it with different types of yeast, however I will provide general substitution guidelines in case you need to try them. Instant yeast: reduce the amount of yeast by 25% and mix the yeast directly into the flour mixture.
