2. Place oranges and lemon in the microwave for 10 seconds before you cut and squeeze this will make it easy. Warm the orange juice for about 30 secs.
3. Use a double boiler or make your own - To make your own add an inch of water to the saucepan with a heatproof bowl on top. The water should not touch the top bowl.Tip - we use a double-boiler to prevent the eggs from getting scrambled with direct heat.

WEBDec 3, 2019 · In a medium saucepan, combine egg yolks, sugar, orange juice, lemon juice (optional, if your oranges are very sweet), orange

Rating: 5/5(6)
Calories: 53 per serving
Category: Dessert, Snack
1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat, constantly stirring until the mixture is thick enough (it usually takes me 10 minutes to get the consistency I want).
2. Remove from heat and carefully transfer the hot mixture into a heat-proof container. Use a strainer when transferring so you end up with smooth, silky, pure orange curd.
3. Allow to cool slightly then place a layer of plastic wrap directly on the surface of the curd (this prevents skin from forming), cover and refrigerate overnight.
