1. In a medium saucepan set over medium-high heat, combine the maple syrup, brown sugar, apple cider, mustard, and spices. Bring the mixture to a boil for about 2 minutes, then remove from heat.

2. To prepare the ham, place it in a roasting pan, leaving the fatty side up. Be sure to remove all plastic packaging on the ham. Use a knife to lightly cut criss cross patterns, about1- 1 ½ inches, in the ham.
3. Pour the water and pineapple juice into the bottom of the roasting pan, then cover the pan with foil. Place the covered ham in the oven, on the lowest rack, and cook for about 75 to 90 minutes, basting as needed. (A 10 pound ham takes about 90 minutes.)
4. While the ham is cooking, prepare the glaze. Set the syrup and 1/4 cup brown sugar aside. Combine the remaining brown sugar and all other ingredients in a small bowl, stirring to completely mix them together.
