About Gina. I have been baking and cooking for crowds for more than twenty-five years. I’ve been trained by an exacting Italian grandmother in Pittsburgh, PA, with skills honed by hundreds of events for groups ranging from five to fifty. As a child, I loved helping her bake cookies and cakes, and occasionally licking the spoons and beaters!

Watch Grandma Gina cook Italian comfort food – Dan Rodricks If you want to be comforted in this terrible time in American life, I recommend watching 85-year-old Gina Petitti cook Italian comfort food on her Buon-A-Petitti YouTube channel. These 15- to 35-minute videos are well-produced, but without a lot of slick editing.
What I like most about Grandma Gina is her pride and love for her family and her faith. Not to mention she’s a wonderful giving person, patiently sharing her recipes with the rest of us. So me I bought an eggplant because it was pretty, through lots of pauses & rewinds G Gina helped me cook eggplant parm that my family loved.
Mrs. Gina is a nice Italian-American grandmother and today she prepares a delicious lasagna. Raise for 30 minutes, then roll out and cut the slices to form the lasagna. Cook then in salted water for 5 minutes. Then season the lasagna with tomato sauce, meatballs or minced meat, grated cheese, ricotta and mozzarella.
These 15- to 35-minute videos are well-produced, but without a lot of slick editing. They are shot almost in real-time, in Grandma Gina’s home in New Jersey, so you get the impression of hanging around the kitchen and watching Grandma cook your favorite dishes — baked ziti, lasagna, baked fish in the Livornese style, fettucine Alfredo, pizza.
