Absolutely delicious! I used a boneless leg of lamb and had to make a substitution on the Kashmiri chili powder, using regular chili powder in the marinade and 3/4 tsp paprika and 1/4 tsp cayenne with the onions.

Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, until lamb is very tender, about 1 1/2 hours. Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
