Total Time: 1 hrCategory: Side DishesCalories: 147 per serving1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees then line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray. In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt. NOTE: We strongly recommend you weigh your einkorn flour, if possible, for better accuracy. If you don’t have a scale, fluff the flour with a fork before you measure it in a cup.
2. In a separate smaller bowl, combine buttermilk with beaten egg. Make a well in the center of dry ingredients and pour buttermilk and egg mixture along with the melted butter into the well and stir just until a ball of dough forms.
3. Form dough into a cohesive ball and place on prepared baking sheet. Pat dough into about an 8"–9" round loaf (the loaf will be 3"–4" thick in the center). Use a sharp knife to cut an X into the top of the dough.
4. Combine 2 Tbsp melted butter with 2 Tbsp buttermilk and brush entire amount onto the dough, covering the entire loaf. Bake 40–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool until warm or room temperature, slice and serve.

Estimated Reading Time: 5 mins1. Before you get started with the dough, it can save a bit of time to preheat your cast iron skillets on your stove. This recipe makes 8 farls, enough to fill 2 12″ cast iron skillets. I heat up two skillets at once so I can knock the cooking out in less time by doing them all at once. I preheat the skillets, dry, over low heat.
2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and sea salt. I use my fine mesh strainer to do this.
3. Use your fingers to create a well in the middle of the flour.
4. Combine the water, milk, and vinegar together in a small bowl. Let it sit for a minute or two and then pour it into the well.

Calories: 2123 per servingCategory: How To1. In a large bowl, sprinkle the active dry yeast over the water. Let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes. You'll notice that the yeast begins to foam and sink.
2. Whisk in the honey, extra virgin olive oil, and salt. Add the flour, and stir with a wooden spoon just until it becomes too hard to stir the mixture with a spoon. Your hands will get messy for this next part, that's just part of the bread-making process.
3. Use your fingertips to bring the rest of the flour into the dough mixture. This may require gently kneading the dough a couple of times. Einkorn doesn't like to be messed with, so do not overwork the dough. Stop "kneading" once the flour has been combined with the wet ingredients. The dough will probably feel and look sticky. That's okay! Einkorn slowly absorbs liquid ingredients, so as it rests, it will absorb more of the liquids.
4. Cover the dough with a towel, and let it rest and double in size for about an hour. I've let my dough rest for an entire afternoon without issue. The goal here is at least an hour resting time. Keep in mind that if your home is very humid and hot, the dough may get stickier.
