Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a creamy dressing on a potato salad?

There’s no creamy dressing on a vinegar-based potato salad like Dill Potato Salad. This type of salad is quite different from the one with a creamy base, but it is also served cold. Then, there’s Hot German Potato Salad which is also vinegar-based but served warm and has a bacon-flavored dressing.

Is there such a thing as a low carb cauliflower salad?

Clearly in the first line without having to open the email it says A low-carb faux “potato” salad made with cauliflower instead of potatoes, perfect for Keto or if you’re just looking to eat less carbs. No bait, I think by now people know my recipes.

Can i substitute cauliflower for potato salad?

This really is very good! Be careful not to overcook the cauliflower or everything is too soft. I also cooked it before I cut it into smaller pieces. It was just easier to work with and monitor for doneness. If you have a favorite potato salad recipe, this would work with the substitute. Can i substitute nonfat greek yogurt for mayo in potato salad?

I did sub Fage nonfat Greek yogurt for the majority of the mayo, but some mayo too. Added another tab. of pickle juice, and teaspoon mustard, (no salt then), but otherwise left the same. No need to make potato salad any other way again.
