1. Preheat your oven to 400. Prep your pan for nonstick. I use parchment. You could just butter the bottom of a cast iron skillet. Also, prepare a flat surface with a bit of flour alternative or flour for preparing the dough.
2. Sift or mix together your flour alternative, baking powder and sugar alternative.
3. Cut your butter cubes into the flour.
4. When the mix resembles crumbs, you can add the milk to the flour mixture.

1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In the bowl of a food processor, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the butter or the shortening and pulse the food processor several times to cut the fat into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse meal. You can also do this by hand with a pastry blender. The faster you do this the better, you want the fat to remain cold. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined. DO NOT overmix, the dough will be slightly sticky.
3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and dust the dough with flour. Gently pat the dough out until it’s a 1/2-inch in thickness. Use a 2-inch round biscuit cutter to push straight down through the dough to cut out circles, try not to twist the cutter. Place the biscuits on the baking sheet, spacing 2-inches apart. Reform the scrap dough into 1/2-inch thickness, being sure to work with it as little as possible, before cutting out more circles. You should get 10 to 12 biscuits.
4. Bake the biscuits until golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you make low carb biscuits on keto?

Low Carb Biscuits Recipe (Keto Friendly) 1 Ingredients. 1 1/2 Cups Almond Flour. 1/4 Teaspoons Salt. 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder. 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Powder. 1/2 Teaspoon Onion Powder. 2 Eggs. 2 Instructions. 3 Video. 4 Nutrition.

How much low carb flour do you need for biscuits?

Rather than having a 1 ½ to 2 cup low carb flour addition and the “regular” milk, butter, and baking powder that you often find in “normal” biscuits, this recipe has the flour “diluted” with cheese and cream cheese. And these biscuits are much tastier for it!

How to make shortcake biscuits?

Making shortcake biscuits is easy and very similar to making drop biscuits: Whisk together all the dry ingredients; in this recipe this includes the almond flour, baking powder, salt, and stevia. Use a fork to cut the fat (here, the butter and cream cheese) into the dry ingredients until it looks crumbly.

How to bake carbquik biscuits?

Place Carbquik TM in mixer bowl. On low speed, add water to mixer and run until dough forms and all water has been absorbed. Spoon dough chunks onto greased cookie sheet, approximately 6 biscuits per recipe. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden. -Preheat oven to 350F. Place dry mix in mixer bowl.
